These self-paced classes are
fun for all. Discover why Pastel painting is now so popular.
You will learn why good composition will do more for your
painting than something that is just rendered well; how
to give your painting atmosphere and create perspective,
how to define positive objects using negative space while
learning to work with the most forgiving medium there is
and the importance of Shish Kabob Skewers while painting
with pastel.

Large set (90 sticks/minimum) of soft pastels such as
Rembrandt, Art Spectrum, Unison or Sennelier brand is
extremely desirable also.
Rembrandt Pastels has sets
of half sticks which are very affordable and are a good
choice for artists just starting out. This will afford utilizing
soft pastel to build up your color layers and also provide
a wider color and value selection other than with just the
hard set of pastels. You can find “Open Stock” selections
on the Internet which will allow you to purchase colors
separately as you need them.
***Additional Note- There are
some supplies for my new students to use until they have
determined what they need to buy for their personal use...***
